AAC provides unlimited free consulting for your project from start to finish.

We can help you plan and carry out measurements including selecting the proper methods to use; selecting the correct sampling media for the application; calculating the amount of sample to be collected; calculating the required flow rates and sampling time; providing method reporting limits; providing the necessary sampling equipment and instructions; providing the sampling media along with all documentation (Chain of Custody, Sampling Procedures, Sampling Log sheets, etc.) and additional supplies such as containers, vials or bottles; providing custom spiking solutions for field testing and audit purposes; providing analysis following agency or custom methods; and providing you with the final data package including QA/QC reports and when requested Electronic Data  Deliverables (EDD).

We can provide you with a large variety of sampling equipment and media and help you make the appropriate selections for your project.

We have a long history of Research and Development and are experts at developing new methods as well as improving existing ones to meet client’s needs. We are often asked to expand the analyte list of existing methods and are experts at testing and validating additional analytes. We are also able to modify current methods by changing solution chemistries, solution volumes, or sampling protocols to meet specific client needs. We can perform method validation tests including spiking, stability, reproducibility, and gas phase recovery studies.

We work with our clients to design and fabricate a variety of custom made hydrocarbon samplers including several options with purge or sweep volumes for vapor intrusion or other needs. Custom made sampling lines and accessories are also available upon request.

AAC has an extensive background in writing technical proposals and in helping our clients write proposals for a large variety of projects.

AAC maintains an ongoing interest in research leading to peer-reviewed journal articles and/or conference presentations. We are constantly reviewing and improving existing methods and developing new methods as the need arises. Do you have a research need related to air sampling or analysis? Audits, spiking solutions, laboratory inter-comparsions, etc. AAC routinely participates in audits and laboratory inter-comparisons for several of the methods we are certified for. We have helped several agencies with preparing audit standards and protocols for TO-15 and PAMS QAQC. We can analyze samples for you to check your numbers or send you audit samples so that you can check your analysis procedures or other labs.

We work with our clients to provide the data in the final format that they need. We provide EDDs for several local agencies that are formatted for the EPA AIRS or AQS databases.

AAC has participated in several large air pollution studies beginning with the Southern California Ozone Study (SCOS-97), moving on to the Southeast Lake Michigan Ozone Study and continuing to the present with the 2008 Los Angeles International Airport/City of Los Angeles study. We have managed several large field studies involving measurements of VOCs, Carbonyls, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, SVOCs including PAHs, PM2.5 and PM10 mass, speciated PM components including PAHS, OC/EC/TC, metals, hopanes and steranes, nitrate, sulfate, and other ions, etc. We can provide management and technical planning, sampling media and analysis, QAQC, and report writing for small to large field studies.

AAC has several trained field operators that can collect a variety (Summa Canister, TO-11 cartridges, Filters, Impinger Solutions, etc.) of samples for you. We can collect ambient or indoor air samples for a variety of purposes. Please contact us for additional details.
